Murray Campbell 
 

You have no doubt heard of the name Murray Campbell - International recording artiste of Golden Disc fame, and Radio, Cabaret and T.V Star. His music has taken him all over the world and he has worked with top flight entertainers. He has a wealth of musical knowledge to pass on to his pupils. 
 
Murray now specialises in teaching brass and reed instruments including trumpet, trombone, clarinet, sax alto, tenor and flute, and music theory and prepares his pupils for their examinations with Trinity Collage or the Royal College of Music. 
 

A Little Bit About Murray 

Murray Campbell studied at the Northern School of Music in Manchester, and while was there was asked to audition for BBC NVO. Murray was successful and this was the beginning of his professional career. 
 
Murray has played lead for many of Britain's top name bands such as Oscar Rabin, Joe Loss, Malcolm Mitchell, The Kirchens, Wally Scott and not forgetting the BBC NVO Orchestra. 
 
While on tour with the Loss Orchestra Murray was introduced to Frankie Vaughan. Frankie heard Murray play and asked him to join his variety tour. Murray accepted. Murray soon became a well knownname as a solo artiste. He had several bands of his own from a quartet to an 18 piece Orchestra with which he enjoyed tremendous success touring Britain and the Continent, and with which he worked on the famous Mecca Circuit at that time. 
 
Murray Campbell has appeared at the West End in London as well as on many of the top Radio and T.V Shows. Murray has appeared in all the main variety theatres in Britain. He has played the World over. From Britain to the Far East, from the Continenet to Australia, to South Africa on a six weeks Cabaret tour, receiving rave notices on the "Talk of the Town" in Durban, "Maxins" in Cape Town and "The Colony" in Johannesburg and top Cabaret rooms throughout the World. 
 
Murray's claim to fame however is, of course, his sensational recording of "Goodbye My Love", which has earned for him a Gold disc - the equivalent of a million sales. 
Murray has worked with such top flight entertainers as Frankie Vaughan, Bruce Forsyth, Petula Clark, Al Martino, Margaret Whiting, Anthony Newley, Billy Ekstein, Charles aznavour, The Supremes, Trini Lopez, The Hilo's and the Three Degrees.
